I started reading in Galatians this week. Chapter 1 verse 1 says, "Paul, an apostle (not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead)..." I felt God say to me that I could put my daughter's name there...that she will not be "sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father" who, by the way, in case you're (I'm) doubting at all, raised Jesus Christ from the DEAD! How amazing to know that Jesus Christ and God the Father are sending us an orphaned little girl. Oh the love we feel for her already....indescribable.
We mailed in our international agency contract and fee this week! It has arrived and is being worked on right now! We have been assigned an agent (if you will) who is working on our dossier, which, as best we can understand, is all the Russian documents we will need for international adoption. This process will take 3-4 months, but ours should go quicker because we already have a completed home study. We have a meeting on Friday with our local adoption agency to go over Russian documents.
We would love for you to pray with us and for us in these specific ways:
1-That our daughter is being loved on, touched, and held by God's special "angel".
2-That the referral for our daughter will be sent to us "through Jesus Christ and God the Father".
3-That our dossier will be completed and sent to Russia quickly.
4-That the necessary funds will be available at the right times.

ReplyDeleteThat's one of the things that God has impressed on me in our adoptions. He can cause things to happen when it doesn't look like it will and he will allow other things to happen that you won't understand.
But through it all you can rest knowing--we serve an Awesome God who loves the orphans more than we can ever imagine!
