Frequent Flyer Miles???

Someone asked us if there was any way they could donate frequent flyer miles to help with our travel costs. The answer is yes! Any flyer miles for Southwest or Delta could be used, depending on which airline we go with for in country flights. If this is a way you might be interested in helping, please contact us. Roundtrip flights for this first trip are running us around $2300/person.

Please cover our trip and the meeting of our new daughter with prayer. Here are some specific things to pray:
*safety in travel
*spiritual and emotional bonding with her and her with us
*comfort and peace internally for her, and us
*beautiful time spent with her at the orphanage
*family and medical questions answered
*safety/comfort for our boys as we are apart
*unity/oneness for Todd and me throughout this trip

God's Choice!!!

Well, after months and months of paperwork and waiting, WE HAVE OUR REFERRAL!!! She is the beautiful, tiny 18 month old that God has chosen for us! Of course nothing is in stone yet, and until we make our first trip in the middle of August, anyone from her country could adopt her. Thank you for all of your prayers thus far, and please continue to cover her with words to our Father.

3 - EAC Agency Contract Fee - $3950 (paid!)

4 - Homestudy Review - $450 (paid!)

5 - EAC Post Placement Admin. Fee - $550 (paid!)

6 - Dossier Processing Fee - $2400(paid!)

7 - Homestudy - $1309 (paid!)

8 - Post Placement Services - $1200

9 - US Immigration Filings - $805 (paid!)

10 - EAC International Processing Fee Part 1 - $5000 (paid!)

11 - EAC International Processing Fee Part 2 - $7500 *PRAISE GOD HE GAVE US THIS IN THE CONWAY, AR YARD SALE!

12 - EAC International Processing Fee Part 3 - $7000

13 - Child's U.S. Entry Visa - $404

14 - Visa Medical Exam - $150

15 - Russian Medical - $600-800

16 - Invitation (for Visas) - $150 per person per trip

17 - Gift - $500

18 - Consulate Registration - $80-200

Estimated Expenses - $33,000-34,000

Fundraisers

God works through His children....literally! Josie and Ellie Holman, ages 11 and 8, collected and rolled coins for our adoption. Thank you, Holman girls from Alabama, for having hearts for the Lord!

Thanks to Cindy Dycus and children for giving a yard sale at their home to raise money for our adoption! We saw God work in many people's lives during this event! Total money raised: $714.75!!!

My sweet friend, Jennifer Rusher, has been using her gifts and talents to teach a couponing class that helps people save money at the grocery store! Boy, is she good! So far, she has raised $230 for our adoption! Thanks, Jennifer!

Conway, AR Yard Sale was a HUGE success!! OVER $7,000 WAS RAISED!!! Thank you to Tina and Bill Cope and family and Peace Lutheran Church! And thanks also to all of our friends who worked all week helping set up, who donated items, and who came and shopped! Our Heavenly Father, who knows our exact needs, worked mightily through you!

Way to Go Warriors for Adoption! Because of you, we raised $1520!!! Thanks to Kristi, Josie, Ellie, and Skibo Holman and Amanda Hall for putting together a yard sale in Demopolis, AL today (May 6)!!! As of Saturday, afternoon, the total $ raised was $1,125!!! We are so very thankful for all of our Demopolis, AL friends!

Russian Adoption Process

July 13, 2012 - Referall received!!! Tentative 1st trip travel for middle of August.

April, 2012 - Dossier complete, translated and received in Russia.

April, 2012 - Mailed our final dossier paperwork to EAC....now it goes into Russian translation and we wait on referral!

February, 2012 - Signed European Adoption Consultants contract and submitted contract fee of $3,950

December 16, 2011 - Thanks to all my family and Conway, AR friends....we raised $500 with the jewelry fundraiser!!!
